Skylight Circus Arts is delighted to announce that we have been added to The Greater Manchester Combined Authority Culture Fund Portfolio 2026-2029. This new funding will help us continue and develop our work bringing circus, creativity and opportunity to people across Rochdale and Greater Manchester.
This investment represents an important recognition of the value that arts and culture can bring to communities and for Skylight, it means more opportunities for people to discover the joy, creativity and confidence that circus can bring.
For more than 35 years, Skylight Circus Arts has used circus as a way to bring people together, creating opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to learn new skills, express themselves and build connections with others.
The funding will help us develop our circus activities, reach more people and create more opportunities for participation, while continuing to build on our strong relationships with communities, artists, schools, partners and organisations across Rochdale and Greater Manchester.
At the heart of Skylight’s work is the belief that culture should be accessible, welcoming and rooted in the communities it serves. Circus provides a unique way of breaking down barriers encouraging people to have a go, take creative risks, build confidence and discover what they can achieve together.
Over the coming years, Skylight will continue to work with communities and partners to develop ambitious, inclusive and accessible circus activity, helping make Rochdale and Greater Manchester places where everyone has the opportunity to participate in and experience culture.
