Ever wanted to try your hands, feet or whole body learning a new circus skill? Skylight’s youth circus offers classes for children and young people aged 8 to 19 years old. You’ll learn to juggle, ride a unicycle, walk on a tight wire or even hang out on the trapeze. Circus offers challenge, creativity, physical and personal development.

Members of all Skylight youth circus classes will develop circus skills, confidence, make new friends and have opportunities to perform. Sometimes we also arrange trips to see shows.

Recently our Youth Circus were visited by UPSWING, a group of professional circus performers who delivered a masterclass in acro and aerial skills, we then went on a trip to see them perform SHOWDOWN live at The Lowry.

It’s amazing, we get to do lots of cool things and I’ve found my tribe at Skylight.

Youth Circus Classes

Teen Youth Circus for 13 – 19 years

Fridays 6.30 – 8.00 £7 per session

Young people creatively explore their circus skills and have increased opportunities to perform. Performances take place at Skylight and further afield, from festivals and events to the Lowry! 

Youth Aerial Classes

Teen Youth Aerial 13 – 18 years

Mondays 6.00 – 7.00pm £7 per session

Aerial classes are 1 hour long and cost £7 per session. Classes take place every Monday and as places are limited, the full block of 6 must be booked in advance.
