    • Three intriguing fossils and the landscapes they came from: guides and performance
Dippy is coming to Rochdale. Skylight are creating a performance based on extinctions and the coincidence of being told about an intriguing fossil found here, a Mammoth Metatarsyl (Toe Bone) found during building works up Syke. The time is right to research the heritage of this fossil and the glacial landscape it came from, alongside two other interesting local fossils and their landscapes. As part of the project we are creating 3 walks from Rochdale to the areas fossils have been found, also looking at other sites and items on the routes. The Spotlight performance group are creating a show, to be performed at Gracie Fields Theatre 3rd and 4th April 2020. Thanks to ACE Grants for the Arts and Heritage Lottery Fund for enabling the project.
