Skylight Circus Arts uses circus creatively for performance and as a vehicle for personal, physical and social development and wellbeing.
Skylight Circus Arts, a registered charity, has been professionally delivering circus skills activities for all ages since 1988 to the people of Rochdale, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Yorkshire and beyond. Skylight has a strong reputation for delivering quality circus training, for local and community, youth, schools, older generation, corporate work and professional training. Skylight works with people of all ages and our team has a wealth of experience working with disengaged young people, older people, people with disabilities and those with additional needs.
Creative output is strengthened by working collaboratively within a wide range of other art forms such as music, spoken word and dance. Skylight produces new artistic work through partnerships with a variety of local and national creative organisations, allowing us to enhance and increase the cultural offerings of Rochdale. Based at St Chad’s Fold in Rochdale, Skylight runs regular circus classes for all ages and abilities from juggling to trapeze, plate spinning to unicycling including specialist circus and aerial swing sessions for people with disabilities. Circus is a great way to learn new and unique skills in a fun, friendly environment whilst improving coordination, fitness and strength.
Our centre in Rochdale is a multi purpose training space and small studio theatre.
