We run 3 sessions for children and young people 5-8,  8-13 & 13 -19 years old. These sessions focuses on developing the circus skills of this age range in as many areas as possible, be it juggling, stilts or the aerial trapeze!

The sessions follows a structure ensuring that everyone gains an eclectic mixture of circus skill and practise, as well as having as much fun as possible.

5-8 Year Olds – 4.45 – 5.45pm – Tuesdays – £5
8-13 Year Olds – 6.00-7.15pm – Tuesdays -£5
13-19 Year Olds – 6.30-8.30pm – Fridays – £5

For any adults looking to learn aerial circus, our adult aerial classes are perfect and cater for all abilities. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned professional, skylight can offer you an appropriate class. We mostly teach trapeze and silks. Please ring to check suitable classes and availability

Absolute Beginners Aerial Course – 6.30-7.30pm – Mondays – £5
Beginners Aerial (upon completion of beginners course) – call for details
Advanced Creative Aerial – 7.00-8.30pm – Mondays – £7 – call for details
Aerial Skill Share (Experienced Aerialists – must call ahead  to book a place) – 4-6pm – Fridays – £7

Sessions for people with disabilities

Sky High is an after school activity for children with disabilities. Skylight offers two sessions with Sky High, one for children aged 5-11 & 11-18.

Sky High promotes inclusiveness, activity and social awareness for children of any disability. As well as teaching structured circus skills, we also use an aerial harness in these sessions to swing the young people through the room. This session is funded by Rochdale Services for Children with disabilities. (young participants must have a disability and be a Rochdale resident)

4-11 Year Olds – 4.15-5.15pm – Wednesdays – £1.00
11-18 Year Olds – 5.15-6.30pm – Wednesdays – £1.00


ROPE – Circus and Swing
For adults with disabilities

ROPE is a drop in session for adults with disabilities. In this session we use a mix of circus skills like juggling, plate spinning and much more to engage adults. We also offer our specialised aerial swing to suspend, swing and spin through the air.
